Assumption, Beliefs and God
Updated: Oct 29, 2019
We have always been told- do not assume without knowing but today I am here to tell you the opposite.
If I asked you about what in your opinion led you to experience negative events in your life? Most of you would be quick to blame it on external factors such as other people, situations, lack of money and so on. We as human beings are so quick to blame everything outside of us for everything that goes wrong in our lives. I am here to be in your face and tell you that it is you and only you for everything you experience in your life.
This physical world or your current situations is what has been created through your subconscious mind or your consciousness. Everything that comes into our awareness is only a manifestation of what we have put through to our subconscious mind by virtue of our thoughts, beliefs and our imaginal acts. I will be writing in dept about all of these.
Today I will tell you how a simple assumption can get whatever it is that you desire. Neville Goddard says "Dare to assume that which you desire to be and persist in your assumption until it hardens into fact". Dare to assume that all things are possible. " Your reasonable mind and outer senses may deny it; but I promise you: if you will persist, you will receive your assumption. Believe me, you are the same God who created and sustains the universe, but are keyed low; so you must be persistent if you would bring about a change." ~ Persistent assumption- Neville Goddard, 1968.
When you create a new assumption, initially, your physical brain resists because you have so conditioned to believe that you are a certain way and there is nothing that can change that. I am here to tell you that "All things are possible to God". You would tell me - Duh ! I already know that all things are possible to God. So that brings us to who is God? Neville says God is nothing but the wonderful human imagination. God is nothing but the " I am" that exists in man. It is nothing but the soul or the spirit or the subconscious mind or the I am.
We create everything in our life based on our beliefs. When we assume something, and we keep assuming that to be true, we are creating a belief. For an example, our parents and teachers always taught us that helping others is good. We assumed that to be true and gradually it turned into a belief. When we persist in an assumption, it becomes a belief, when we believe something, it hardens into fact and shows up in our human experience.
So it is that easy to create the life of your dreams. Just dare to assume that which you desire to be and persist in your assumption until it hardens into fact. Neville says :"Disregard appearances, conditions, in fact all evidence of your senses deny the fulfillment of your desire. Rest in the assumption that you already are what you want to be, for in that determined assumption, you and your infinite being are merged in creative unity, and with your infinite being all things are possible." Our subconscious mind or the " I am " is the infinite being.
