On this journey of mine, I have come across various types of people and relationships that they have with their friends, families and significant t others. But one thing I noticed in common was that all of us are constantly seeking validation from sources outside of us. We want our partners to accept us so much that we do whatever it takes to get them to accept us the way we are. But what happens in reality is that we keep compromising and settling for the things that we ourselves do not want in order for them to not leave us. I have been there too. I allowed everything that I did not like because I was so afraid that he would walk out on me. I did things I did not want to do, went places I did not want to go just because I wanted him to accept me! We have all been there and done that. But did we get what we were seeking? You already know the answer!
So how do we fix this problem? Neville Goddard said that everyone is you pushed out. What does that really mean? The world is a mirror reflection of your subconscious mind. Every person you come across, every incident that occurs in your life is mirror image of your inner world - what you think, what you believe, what you fear etc. You are the creator of your own reality. And the sooner you realize that 'YOU' have the power to choose what you want to experience in this life, your life would turn around. Someone treat you bad? Look within, try to find the place within you where that humiliation is coming from and release it for it no longer serves you. Forgive those who have done you wrong because they are innocent and they are only playing a part in your life that you have assigned them to play. So how does it work with acceptance? Do you accept yourself the way you are? If you don't then that's your answer. Fix those broken parts of yourself and the world around you will heal. Love and accept yourself. Accept how wonderfully you are created in the image of God. Accept the law that the outer world is all but a mirror image of your inner world. Give yourself the gift of acceptance.I promise you that never again will anyone reject you.
